HISTORY OF THE COOKIE DIET
Dr. Sanford Siegal began practising medicine in Miami in 1957 and focused his South Florida practice on weight management from 1960. While researching foods that could help manage hunger, he developed the formula that became Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet in 1975. The program was first available through his medical practice and later expanded internationally, reaching hundreds of thousands of people.
